De Young Investigator Award wordt tijdens het EAPC Research Forum in 2010 voor de tweede keer uitgereikt. De prijs is voor jonge/nieuwe onderzoekers die een waardevolle bijdrage leveren aan onderzoek en/of academisch onderwijs op het gebied van palliatieve zorg. De winnaar mag een plenaire sessie verzorgen tijdens het EAPC Research Forum in Glasgow (10-12 juni 2010). 
De eerste Young Investigator Award is tijdens het EAPC congres in Wenen uitgereikt aan Jenny van der Steen. 

Young Investigator Award
The EAPC would like to honour an outstanding young person for his/her contributions in research in palliative care. The successful candidate will be asked to give a plenary lecture at this Congress.

The candidate should be at the beginning of their professional career in palliative care. They should hold an academic or clinical position in palliative care. The applicant should be a citizen of one of the countries of the EAPC Collective Member Associations and hold (or be about to complete) a postgraduate degree (e.g. PhD, MD, Masters).
